My invite to Sara’s wedding finally arrived. She was searching for the ideal Scottish location; but it blew me away to see Edinburgh Castle engraved on the invitation. Way to go Sara! This wedding is going to be my holiday of a lifetime; seeing fields of heather, Scotsmen in kilts, a side trip to Loch Ness in hopes of spotting Nessie, authentic Scottish clothes shopping, and the wedding being the center piece of it all.

Just reviewed dozens of fabulous hotels in Edinburgh and booked a suite at a marvelous place in the historic Old Town, on Royal Mile, within walking distance of the Castle.

The plan for today is to get an instructional video to learn simple Highland Fling dancing. Got to run, must find my passport and check out the cost of airline tickets. As they say in Scotland: Slainte, sonas agus beartas. Translation: Health, wealth and happiness.
